Everything you need to know about RDEM Systems, our services, and how we work

The Company

RDEM Systems is an IT infrastructure operator that designs, deploys, and manages technical environments for businesses: Proxmox virtualization servers, backups, MariaDB databases, and BGP network connectivity. We operate our own autonomous network (AS206014) and host production in Equinix datacenters in the Paris region.
We primarily work with SMBs and mid-market companies that need reliable infrastructure without having a complete in-house systems team. Our typical clients manage between 1 and 50 servers and are looking for a trusted technical partner rather than just a hosting provider.
Operations started in 2007 and RDEM Systems SAS was formally established in 2016. Some of our clients have trusted us since 2010, which reflects the stability of our approach and relationships.

Services & Offerings

Each service is independent and can be subscribed to separately. For example, you can use only our Nimbus backup for your existing servers, or only our managed MariaDB service. The advantage of combining several is technical consistency and a single point of contact. See our Proxmox VPS plans and pricing.
Yes, that is a common case. Your machines can be replaced by virtual machines on our Proxmox platform, or physically placed in our racks at Equinix Paris, connected to your offices by a private link. We also work on a consulting-only basis if you prefer to contract directly with a datacenter. Our page on choosing between an in-house server room and a datacenter covers the five dependencies of a server room and what changes when you move out.
No. RDEM Systems focuses exclusively on infrastructure: virtualization, networking, backup, databases, and system administration. We do not provide application development, web design, or software integration. This specialization allows us to maintain a high level of technical expertise.
We cover everything between the physical network and the operating system: BGP routing, switches, Proxmox hypervisors, Ceph storage, PBS backups, MariaDB databases, and Linux administration (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS). We do not manage the application layer (business code, CMS, etc.). To better understand the scope, see the full details of our managed services.

Contractual Aspects

Our managed services and hosting contracts are generally established for 12 months, with automatic renewal. One-off interventions (audits, migrations) are billed on a fixed-fee or prepaid-hours basis, with no commitment period. See our complete guide to GTI, GTR, and SLA to understand our contractual commitments.
Recurring services (hosting, managed services, backups) are billed monthly. One-off interventions are billed per engagement or deducted from a prepaid hours package. All invoices are accessible from your client portal at members.rdem-systems.com.
We support you through the transition. Your data belongs to you and we ensure its complete restitution. We can also coordinate the technical transfer to your new provider. No hidden exit fees.

Security & Compliance

Multiple levels of protection: end-to-end encrypted backups, network isolation between clients via dedicated VLANs, proactively applied security updates, 24/7 monitoring with real-time alerting, and NTP Stratum 1 synchronization to ensure log consistency and the validity of authentication mechanisms (Kerberos, TOTP). Our servers are hosted in ISO 27001-certified Equinix datacenters. See our IT glossary: GTI, GTR, SLA, DRP...
Yes. RDEM Systems is a French company subject to European law. Your production stays in France, in datacenters located in the Île-de-France region; only backups are replicated to a secondary site in Germany, operated by a French hosting provider, to keep the site separation a disaster recovery plan requires. We do not transfer any data outside the European Union and we do not use subcontractors subject to the US Cloud Act for hosting.
We follow a documented incident response procedure: immediate containment, impact analysis, remediation, then a detailed post-mortem report. In the event of a confirmed personal data breach, we notify you within the timeframes required by the GDPR.

Getting Started with RDEM Systems

You contact us by phone or email. We arrange a technical discussion to understand your existing infrastructure and needs. If our offering is a match, we carry out a free audit and provide you with a detailed quote, with no commitment.
For VM hosting on our infrastructure, allow 1 to 2 weeks between quote approval and production deployment. For a migration from an existing environment (VMware, another provider), the timeline depends on volume and complexity — we establish a detailed schedule during the audit.
We offer demonstration environments to validate the technical compatibility of your applications with our infrastructure. The initial audit is free and without commitment, allowing you to evaluate our approach before making any decision.
